Deconstra (Design Concept & Strategy) is a research group that focuses on studying the developments of design   as a multi-disciplinary and collaborative science. The study emphasizes the formulation and application of design concepts and strategies in solving community and industrial problems. Deconstra members come from various disciplines in the Creative Industry Faculty: Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design, Intermedia Fine Arts, and Craft-Textile-Fashion.

ACTIES (Aesthetics, Culture and Humanities) is a group of expertise and research within The Faculty of Creative Industries that focuses its research and expertise development on the theoretical, conceptual and discourse level, encompasses the branches of Aesthetics, Cultural Studies and other aspects of Humanities. All endeavours are directed as normative, contemplative and critical reflection or consideration, in the context of the development of Creative Industry fields with the local wisdom of Nusantara culture, humanistic and aesthetical insight.

MEDCRAFT (Media & Craftsmanship) is a group of expertise and research within the School of Creative Industries that focuses on the competence and studies of object/artefact, its creation and making process within the scope of art, design and crafts. It emphasizes mainly on the exploration and experimentation medium and object innovation, and characteristic attainment on the artefact.
